There to greet them when the crew arrived back on the
planet Earth was Yum Kaax, the Spirit of Plants.
“I see you have new friends, and some unusual friends,” Yum
Kaax said when she saw Moka and Eegh jump off of Mañoso’s
back and run over to Viviana, grabbing her hands. “You may
leave your horses and I will have Ah Patner Uinicob come and
care for them, just like the last time you were here at the palace.
You remember where your rooms are located, but Huracán
informed me that he wants to see all of you first. Please, just
follow me.” Yum Kaax proceeded to take the crew down familiar
hallways until she came to the door which above on the lintel
was the glyph of Huracán. She opened the door, and invited all
of them to go in to see the ancient Spirit.
Still sitting behind his big, ornate desk was Huracán. He was
studying some computer images of odd-looking trees. The virtual
images were suspended in front of him in midair. He looked up
saying, “Come in, come in, I have been waiting to hear about
your adventures on Vivia.” He stood up and came from around
his desk and told everyone to find a couch, or chair to sit down
on.
“We have had a wonderful time. I have two friends, Moka
and his son, Eegh, to meet you,” Viviana said while having Moka
and Eegh shake Huracán’s hand.
Jonathan then said, “I want you to meet my friends Lena,
Ronú, and Kuó.” They all went up to Huracán and greeted him
with a handshake.
“Now, tell me all about your adventures. I want to hear
everything, start from the portal...” Huracán said while sitting
next to Viviana. Tital started the conversation and told him in
