“It must belong to someone,” Bardala interjected. “Maybe,
we should leave it alone. Look, Tital’s ring is starting to glow.”
“Hold the ring closer, Tital,” Viviana instructed him.
When Tital moved closer, the ring glowed brighter, when he
touched the top of the wooden box the ring began to glow
brighter than his flashlight.
“I think the ring wants you to open the box,” Jonathan said.
“Okay, I’ll open it; hold Centella’s reins for me, Bardala.” Tital
then grabbed the wooden lid and lifted it, the lid opened and the
crew pointed their flashlights inside. There were two items
inside, both wrapped up in a heavy, hemp cloth. Tital reached
down, and pulled out the first bundle. He laid it down on the
stone floor and untied the leather string that held it closed. He
discovered a golden, long knife with a dark-green jade handle.
The weapon was eighty centimeters long.
“That blade looks like the Sword of Kukulcán that I heard
Prince Togué talking about. He said that it was hidden here in
Dómpu. The Atoo were here trying to find it,” Viviana said.
“Pick it up, Tital,” Kuó said as his flashlight moved back and

and you can use the jade and gold straps as a belt to hold it
