THE BLUE FEATHER

The crew packed the supplies on the backs of their horses
and led their horses to the western passageway of the Kukulcán’s
Pyramid. There they said goodbye to Zotz.
“I may need you back on Earth to assist us. Can you have
another trusted Spirit take care of everything here in Dómpu, if I
call for you?” Tital asked.
“Yes, I can call on my brother, Balam Quitzé, to help me. You
have a big project to accomplish, so I will be at your service. You
know my number,” Zotz said, as he turned to go back to the
compound.
Brilloso stayed close to Tital’s side, as everyone turned on
their LED flashlights, and started walking deeper inside the long
hallway. There were many panels of carved stone with stories of
long-dead Mayan Kings that the lights played upon, lining the
walls. Soon, the arched hallway branched off, one branch going
north, the other branch going south.
“Now, which way do we go?” Bardala asked Tital.
“We’ll try the hallway going to the north. I can see a
doorway, I think, up ahead. From here I can’t see the logoglyph
above the door,” Tital said, as he started down the ancient hall.
When he stood directly in front of the massive door, he shined
his light and looked at the carved glyph. “No, it’s not this one.
This one looks like the glyph called K’ank’in, the Mayan sign for
their fourteenth month. Remind me to ask Huracán where this
door leads to.”
