THE BLUE FEATHER
Spirit Lords that shared control of the vast Underworld would
ever come forward and admit he had been the one who had lost
his ring. Huracán would try to think of the appropriate word,
neglectful came to his mind, but so did careless and stupid. The
condemnation from the other Spirits would be horrific for losing
your ring of power. Terrible—was one word Huracán would
think of when he saw Tital wearing the Otherworldly ring.
Terrible for the Spirit Lord that lost it. Profound that a mere
mortal human now wore the ring. How long had the powerful
ring lay hidden on the ground? No one would really know.
Tital and Bardala both awoke early and went out to the
building to check on Brilloso and all the horses. They let them
out to start grazing on the lush grass inside the compound. They
then took Brilloso into the main house to feed him and where
they prepared breakfast for the rest of the crew. Moka and Eegh
went outside to find and harvest more coconuts to eat.
“What are we going to do today?” Lena asked first, while
eating her breakfast of dried fruits and fresh lightning-roasted
Pterodactyl meat.
“We are going to take a lot of photographs of the stone;
stelae and the pyramid. We need to get good pictures of all the
logoglyphs.” Tital told the crew. Have you got pictures of the
Maya kin logoglyphs?” Ronú asked.
“Yes,” Bardala answered. “There are twenty named kins in
the Maya system. Here are their pictures.”
