“But we’re not tired,” Bardala said, somewhat truthfully.
“What I would like to know is...what this place is called, your
home.”
“It goes by many names, some people call it one thing and
other people call it...” Yum Cimil tried to evade the sharp
question Bardala had asked him.
“I would call it Xibalbá, that’s your home, isn’t it?” Bardala
said to Yum Cimil’s face.
“Grab him, Ah Peku!’” shrieked Yum Cimil in an ugly voice.
“I’ll get the girl...she’s mine.”
As the two Underworld Spirits tried to capture Tital and
Bardala, two events took place simultaneously. One in the plane
of existence called the Underworld, and one in the three
dimensional real world on Vivia. As Ah Peku reached out and
grabbed Tital’s free arm, the ancient ring on Tital’s finger flared
with power and light. It sent direct electrical energy into Ah
Peku, sending him flying backwards and landing with a
“TTHHUUDD!” At the same time, Yum Cimil, with a horrid grin
on his face, thought he had touched a mad rattlesnake when he
grabbed Bardala’s arm. The fact that she still had her hand
holding Tital’s hand, which let all the power held in the ring shock
Yum Cimil. It threw him to his knees, where Tital, seeing the
power of the ring, used it and touched the ring to Yum Cimil’s
forehead. Instantly Yum Cimil disappeared in a blue, eerie light
to be locked away encased within a black stone until the other
evil Spirits could find
