After both young archers had slain thirteen beasts between the two of them, out to the side on the edge of Jonathan’s view came two high-flying Gigantoraptors, seemingly from out of nowhere. Brilloso barked loudly, showing his concern from far below. Moka, who had been using Brilloso like his personal horse, chattered loudly and shook his little fist at the kamikaze-like, dive-bombing Gigantoraptors. Meanwhile, Bardala, Tital, and Kuó floated high above the green-carpeted open ground, busily launching arrows. Tital would look over and check on Jonathan and Ronú to make sure they were not going to become people-burgers for the Gigantoraptors. Bardala thought that no matter how advanced your weapons are, with overwhelming numbers that attack at the same time, it still only took one bite from a Gigantoraptor to kill you. “Bardala, I’ll cover us. Use your powers to help Jonathan and Ronú. They are getting overwhelmed, and those two high-flyers above them need to be slowed down so the boys can have time enough to get good shots.” Bardala released the arrow she had already nocked, then turned quickly and pointed her finger at one of the Gigantoraptors that were now flying too near to the back of Jonathan’s head. The beast was then slowed, enough for Ronú to send off a well-placed arrow into the chest of the attacker. “TTTTHUMMPPP!” Went the impact, and the webby wing of the falling creature came within centimeters of hitting Jonathan in the back of his head.
