“I don’t know. We’ll see when we get back to camp where
there is more light,” Tital said.
Upon arrival back at camp, everything appeared normal.
Everyone was sitting peacefully next to the campfire. Viviana
was translating the unbelievable story of their ongoing adventure
so far to their new friend Moka.
“Bardala, we couldn’t help ourselves. We broke out the
Nestle’s chocolate candy bars. Moka loves them. He’s eaten
three of them. He wants to know if we can get some more of
them for him. He wants to trade cashew nuts for chocolate,”
Viviana burst out saying when she saw the two lobster hunters
float into camp.
“Maybe we can make that happen. Did everything else go
okay?” Bardala asked the group, “Nothing unusual?”
“No, everything’s fine. Did you catch enough lobster for
everyone including Moka? We told him he could eat with us
tomorrow night. When we told him we were eating lobster, he
laughed and laughed when Jonathan tried to describe one for
him,” Kuó said while imitating Jonathan acting as a lobster.
“What is that?” Ronú asked, pointing to the strange staff in
Tital’s hand.
“I found it in the sand on the beach. It must belong to
someone. It looks too valuable with this large blue stone for
someone to just throw away.” Tital told all of them, as Moka
touched the staff. He rubbed it with his small hands, until marks
appeared on it.
“Look at those strange markings on the staff. I wonder what
they could mean?” Ronú commented, as Tital handed him the
