THE BLUE FEATHER
happened while we were gone. Don’t leave anything out of the
details.”
“Not even the part where we thought you were walking
around holding hands with Tital all night?” spouted Jonathan.
“WHAT? Oh, my GOD, Oh, Oh, I need to go walk by myself!”
Bardala said while stomping off, “Tital, feed them. Do
something...right!”
“OOOO-kayyy, uh...let’s go eat, or something.” Tital said,
rather stunned by Bardala. He took Viviana’s hand, and led the
group to the campfire outside of his tent.
“My sister must like you a lot. Why else would she get so
upset?” Viviana asked, while squeezing Tital’s big hand with hers.
Then she said with a smile, “I’m glad.”
“Oh, she always gets mad when we discover one of her
secrets,” said Jonathan, while running ahead of the group and
petting Brilloso’s head.
“I’m really hungry! Could we have Yum Kaax bring us some
special fruits from Earth? I think our new friends would like a big
bowl of sliced apples, and pears, and peaches, cherries, bananas,
mangoes, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries.”
“Whew! That’s quite a mouthful, Jonathan. However, since
Yum Kaax is helping to feed all the villagers until we get them
settled down in new homes, I’m sure he can find all the types of
fruit that you would want.” Tital told him, as they all sat down by
the campfire. “What would you like for breakfast Ronú? Kuó?
How about you Zorin? Anything special?” he asked, while adding
wood to the fire.
“I don’t know what to tell you. I usually have two bird’s eggs,
and some bread with honey, we also eat a fruit like the mango
when they are ripe. I like to try new things. The fruits Jonathan
talks about sound good. I would like to try them,” said Ronú.
Kuó and Zorin both said that they would eat whatever they were
served. Tital called out to Yum Kaax, who came over with other
Spirits who helped her, and soon all kinds of food arrived.
