135 THE BLUE FEATHER over at her preparing to sleep. “Goodnight, Bardala. Sweet dreams,” he said, closing his tired eyes. Bardala thought to herself that Tital said Pilar’s name like it should be Saint Pilar of Cancún or something. Anyway, the Spirits had chosen him, not her. Yes, he was a truly good person. Yes, both little Viviana and Jonathan looked up to him, like he was already part of her family. But...then she thought that her father would probably disapprove of him, because her papa was always so protective towards her. Yet, on the other hand, Tital did save her life when the Gigantoraptor nearly killed her. Plus, he did come after her trying to save her, Viviana, and Jonathan from what he thought was an abduction. That was pretty noble on his part. Not too many men would do that, risking their own safety and even their life like that. He could have been badly hurt, or even killed. Maybe she could get him to go back to school and get a degree in something important to save her home planet, Earth. Her thoughts were racing along this line, and if she could do this, then surely her dad would like him…. “You should kiss me goodnight, if you want me to have sweet dreams,” she said softly. No reply, as Tital was already asleep from the kin’s exhaustion. She got up quietly, and as Brilloso raised his head, she went over to Tital and gently kissed him on the lips as he slept. Then she went back to her bed, wondering why she had kissed him. This was the first kiss she ever gave to a man. Well, she thought…at least he didn’t turn into a frog, so maybe he was a Prince instead.
