Closer and closer they crept to their hungry prey. The wind was blowing in their faces, so they knew these young Gigantoraptors could not smell them. When they were thirty meters away, Bardala and Tital both prepared to shoot their first arrows. At the very last second, Bardala stepped on something in the low underbrush. “CRACK!” Went the small branch, and then chaos ensued. They both looked down to find a baby Gigantoraptor with its overgrown bill lying on the ground in front of them, mad as it could be over being disturbed. The startled and angered baby started screeching at full volume. “Rrrraaaack! Rrrraaaack!” Immediately, the now fully alerted parents were running at full speed towards their hunters. Tital was now wondering who was hunting whom. He and Bardala fired their bows. “SssssOOOOOOch! SsssOOOOOOOch!” Sounded the first pair of arrows, as their razor-sharp broadheads drove into the upper breasts of the first pair of Gigantoraptors that were charging towards them. “Split up!” yelled Tital, as he ran to the right. “I’ll take the ones on my side.” Both hunters had another arrow in the air within the count of two. As the second set of arrows brought down two more Gigantoraptors, the last pair launched themselves into the air, and at first veered away. The pair was rapidly gaining height with each powerful beat of their awesome
