Former CCHS Assistant Coach Comes Back to Lead Buttons
in TAPPS 5A Division I District 2
Please welcome L. D. Green, Sr. as Central Catholic High School’s new head football coach.
Green was previously an assistant coach at Trinity University where he served as the offensive line
coach in 2012. Prior to joining Trinity University, Green was the defensive backs and defensive
line coach at Central Catholic from 2007-2010 as part of Carlos Enrico’s staff. He also lead Central
Catholic’s strength and conditioning program during that time. He spent 24 years in the U.S. Army
retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. Green was the wide receivers and running backs coach at Fort
Campbell High School, Ky., from 2006-2007. He also was the offensive coordinator at Moanalua High
School, in Honolulu, from 2004-2005.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2010, and
is currently working on a master’s degree. Green will also teach in the Social Studies department. He
is married to Tritia M. Finley, and they have two children, Kai and Miya.
