So that my insides come to my outsides

So that my outsides feel more like how my outsides feel.

And then, the raw skin hardens,

And my thumbs are all a thousand exposed layers of roughness

And jagged edges I can hook my teeth and nails under again.

And I pick and bleed and scab and pick and bleed and scab and pick and bleed and bleed and bleed and bleed.
