The past few weeks this phenomenon has been sweeping America. Creepy clowns have been spotted lurking in the woods in all the U.S. It is believed that this craze was born in South Carolina, it started with people dressing up as clowns, that were spotted trying to lure children into the woods. Many of those incidents were hoaxes, but a hundred of incidents resulted in arrests. Rainbow City Police Chief Jonathon Horton told the Times-Picayune “at least seven people face felony charges of making a terrorist threat connected to “clown-related activity.”
This frenzy is terrifying everyone, even though it has not yet led to any serious injuries or deaths, people are freaking out about this. Police had received complaints in at least 11 states: Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Tennessee. Some said that there were clowns in white vans, following people and committing crimes. Most of this complaints were jokes, but people are still shaken and horrified.
This craze has become worldwide, people are frightened and it has become a serious issue.
