The Flyer
New Lines at Mie-Style
The proprietors of the new ladies
boutique in Bishops Stortford, MIEStyle, are delighted that their first
two months of trading have got off
to a flying start. Tracey Calvert and
Susannah Downey say that their feet
have hardly touched the ground since
they opened their doors at MIE-Style
on 23rd April and business is strong.

Bishop of St Albans Harvest Appeal
launches in Sawbridgeworth
The Hailey Centre was
privileged to launch,
in Sawbridgeworth,
the Bishop of St.
Albans Harvest
Appeal, Water Aid in
Madagascar. The Bishop of Hertford,
the Rt Rev Dr Michael Beasley together
with his Appeal staff joined Hailey
Centre visitors for a fun morning,
decorating cup-cakes in the colours of
the Madagascan flag which were then
put together to create their National
Flag. Sawbridgeworth Town Council
kindly provided the facility to enable
our visitors to hear a short talk and
see a video detailing how providing
clean, safe water transforms lives in
rural Madagascar. A lunch followed
which included Madagascan vanilla
cheesecake and was thoroughly
enjoyed by 40 local residents, including
the Rural Dean, Rev. Anthony Giles, the
new Chairman of East Herts District
Council, Cllr Ken Croften, District Cllrs,
Angela Alder and Eric Buckmaster
and Sawbridgeworth Town Mayor,
Cllr David Royale. The Raffle raised
£100.00 and will be presented to the
Bishop as the first donation to the
Water Aid Appeal.

MIE-Style aims to dress ladies of all
shapes and sizes to feel comfortable
and stylish, practical but feminine
and with a splash of originality too.
Some of the ranges sold include, Suzy
D, Annonyme, Nu, Cako, Onjenu, P.K
Berry, HW2, Charli and leather by
Georgio Paris, all of which have been
carefully selected so that MIE-Style can
offer daywear to evenings at prices to
suit all.
Tracey and Susannah have also
recently taken on a concession of
Hipanema beachwear, bikinis, bags,
hats and jewellery, which are all
proving very popular with holiday
goers, and which sit nicely with their
own designs of kaftans which are
handmade in the UK. New items come
in on an almost weekly basis to keep
the look of the shop fresh, so there is
always something new for people to see
when they come in to browse around.
Styling appointments can be arranged
for anyone who would like some
personal help with selecting items that
would flatter them the most.
Looking ahead to Autumn/Winter,
the stock will range in size from XS
to XL, so there should be something
for everyone. MIE-Style believes that
women of every size should be able to
buy lovely clothes and look good!
A fashion show for new stock for A/W
16 is being planned in conjunction
with a local Breast Cancer Charity that
both Susannah and Tracey support.
The ladies at MIE-Style would like to
thank everybody who has come into the
shop in the last two months and look
forward to welcoming back existing
customers and meeting new ones.
