What do you love about working in real estate?
I love the personal connection you make with people from all over the globe. We get to work with some of the most powerful people in the world, yet they’ re seeking out what we already have because we live here.
ABOUT JEFF Originally from North Carolina, Jeff moved to Bozeman in 1994 after a hunting and fly fishing trip to Southwest Montana. In 1996, he helped to launch real estate sales at Moonlight Basin and in the subsequent years, brokered over 35 % of all the real estate sales in Moonlight. After that, Jeff operated one of two Sotheby’ s International offices in Big Sky. In August of 2016, Jeff joined The Big Sky Real Estate Co. and manages one of their five offices. After facilitating one of the most expensive residential home sale in the Yellowstone Club to date, brokering the most expensive private land deal in Big Sky, and selling the highest priced ski-in / ski-out condominium in Moonlight Basin, Jeff stands out not only as a dedicated professional, but as someone who makes the business of real estate enjoyable, informative and effortless for his clients. For the last 15 years, Jeff has consistently ranked in the top five producing Brokers in Big Sky, both in number of transactions and gross sales volume. He currently represents two major new construction projects and over $ 50 million of privately-owned, luxury real estate properties in Big Sky.
When“ off the grid” and away from work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife Margie and their two boys George and William. Favorite activities for the Helms crew are skiing, hunting, fishing, training their two bird dogs( Nina and Wally), or floating one of the local Montana rivers.

A major benefit to working with this company is the collaborative effort we have incorporated into our everyday work. For the first time in the brief history of Big Sky’ s development, we now have one cohesive marketing and sales platform, which allows us to introduce every aspect of Big Sky to real estate buyers. Our development partner has a tremendous supporting cast of professionals from land planners to hospitality services, many who have delivered other prosperous resort communities and are now bringing that experience to our community.
“ We are 100 % committed to seeing this community evolve and thrive.”
ABOUT ANNE Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Anne moved to Big Sky in 1998 after graduating from Penn State University. She started working for the local newspaper which allowed her to establish relationships within the professional community. From there, she moved on to the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce, which continued her involvement in the growth of Big Sky. In 2002, Anne was approached to help set up a local real estate company and after a few years on the job, received her broker’ s license in 2006. Anne has been heavily involved in the community since she moved here and has been a board member with a local nonprofit, Women In Action, for the past eight years. Currently, Anne is raising her two kids with her husband, who is a local builder. She spends her free time camping, hiking, running, cross country skiing and being with her family.
What does the Big Sky community mean to you?
Big Sky has been my home for over 18 years and is the place that I have chosen to raise my kids. I am 100 % committed to seeing this community evolve and thrive. I believe we all have to take part in, and responsibility for, maintaining the positive growth in Big Sky and Montana as a whole.
