Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure youth have access to the motivational and supportive relationships they need to grow into confident, successful adults. We believe that every individual can expand their possibilities through these caring connections. Potential is universal but opportunity is not, and together we can change that through mentorship.
Mission Statement brag lines 5,000 youth statewide are served through our programs where mentoring occurs in schools and the community. MENTOR RI provides schools and youth-serving organizations no-cost technical assistance and training to start and / or improve mentoring programs including school-based, peer to peer, community and group-based mentoring.
Pay it Forward 92 percent of youth who are mentored are more likely to volunteer regularly in their communities; 75 percent are more likely to hold a leadership position in a club or sports team; and 58 percent say their mentor supported their mental health. Still, statistics show us that one in three youths grow up without a supportive adult in their lives— we call it the Mentoring Gap. With your support, we can make a difference!
Our mission is to engage and connect people through shared experiences that positively transform individuals, organizations, and communities.
Background Leadership Rhode Island( LRI) began with a powerful idea that when people connect, communities thrive. Since 1981, more than 3,100 leaders have stepped forward— bridging differences, solving problems and shaping our state’ s future.
brag lines LRI is a recognized leader among community leadership programs across the country. From“ weaving back the civic fabric” of RI towns to improving workplace engagement, our impact has been honored locally, regionally and nationally.
