Review the Past & Move Forward...
By Linda Pliagas Publisher / Editor
Thank you for joining us for another edition of Realty411. For this issue, we look to yesteryear for inspiration and knowledge. In my life, I like to periodically review the past to figure out the lessons that I ' ve learned along the way.
A life review allows us time to reflect on past wins and costly mistakes. Tremendous growth can occur when we examine our past actions and contemplate the life lessons we ' ve learned along the way.
In this spirit of reflection, our editorial team and I compiled the articles from yesteryear that we felt should be spotlighted once again. We hope you enjoy this blastfromthepast edition.
One article we published a few years back, which definitely should be read again is, " Why the Middle Class Tend to Stay Middle Class ", written by Steve Davis. This reflective piece is a wonderful read, one that will shed insight into why so many people seem to get stuck in a neverending financial rat race.
For current mortgage loan originators( MLOs) who are reading this issue, be sure to learn tips to ensure your loans will always close successfully. This article, " Strategies for Successful Closings," was written by Dan Harkey, a seasoned mortgage broker who offers fantastic suggestions
to expand your customer base and increase your business.
In this issue, readers will also find " The 10 Most Common Signs of Dangerous TurnKey Rental Operators." This editorial, published a few years ago, was written by Kathy Fettke, a seasoned real estate investor and top educator. This is another previous article that certainly deserves revisiting.
Also, included are new articles to keep our readers uptodate on current trends. One important topic discussed is business credit. We all know that leveraging responsibly can open the doors to new possibilities, so be sure to read, " Business Credit: Why the Old way of Borrowing is Holding Your Back " written by Merrill Chandler.
Next, for those readers focused on growing their rental portfolio, we offer tips to do so by sharing some favorite market locations for 2025. For this edition, we ' re also including some favorite global markets because the beauty of real estate investing is that it can be done anywhere!
In fact, we know many people who
own properties in other counties and visit annually, some even more often. We knew one investor who not only purchased a vacation home in another country, but he liked the lifestyle so much, he started buying rental properties as well.
Once you develop the skill to locate, buy, finance, rehab and rent properties for profit, the world is your oyster.
We also touch upon the importance of using an LLC in your real estate business in this edition. After sacrificing so much and working so hard to build a rental portfolio, you want to make sure to protect your family ' s assets with the right entity.
It wasn ' t easy choosing the perfect articles to feature in this new Realty411 review, so many of them provide timeless insight. We hope you enjoy reading this latest edition.
To Your Success,
