The use of AI in surveillance sys- tems has become widespread , often with big success , but some- times with mixed results .
As we have often observed in the recorded surveillance photos and videos , adversarial meth-
ods and techniques are some- times able to defeat the stan- dard AI / ML neural nets training by changing shapes , adding layers of clothing to become low ob- servables , etc .
It is no surprise that in order to solve the standard “ Detect-Iden- tify-Classify ” problem a com- plex approach extending beyond the AI is imperative .
