Our “Cover Personality” this issue is the beautiful and talented dancer with a misson, Leila Haddad from France – love
the outstanding interview by Ma*Shuqa Mira Murjan. Our prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was given at Yaa
Halla, Y’all this year to the charming and delightful Amina Goodyear. Carl F. Sermon’s photos of the winners this year
at BDUC accompany Amina’s fascinating article about Tonya and Atlanta’s creation of Belly Dancer of the Universe.
Amina’s articles about Portland Music Camp and on assisting Susu at Mendocino Camp was so entertaining. And, of
course, we’re always thrilled to add additional superb event photos provided by the wonderful Carl. When Carl and
