The Tribal MassiveTM is a family affair. Tori and Yaniv Halfon, are the Mom and Pop of this event. Tori herself is a dancer, and her husband Yaniv is a respected photographer who documents the evening stage shows. These two are total love bugs. They make each participant feel included in their MASSIVE “family”. Almost anything you may need during your stay has been anticipated, and pre-arranged for you. THE SHOWS THE TRIBAL MASSIVETM BELLYDANCE SHOWCASE was held at the famous Plaza Casino theater, and featured performers from Brazil, England, South Africa, Japan, Korea, Costa Rica, Argentina, Nova Scotia, Switzerland, China, Slovakia, and across the Americas. Kash Athanatos of South Africa delivered my favorite performance of the evening. Her dance was liquid gold. Her music included the song “Torn” a lyrical violin piece by Nathan Lanier, and a traditional folk anthem by Mandoza, an iconic South African Kwaito musician. While winning the audience with her sultry eyes, sweet smile, and elegant costuming, Kash fused stylistic dance elements from ATS, tribal fusion, and classic belly dance.
