deep into the classroom setting . It ’ s allowed me to truly focus on bringing my dance development programs to a wider audience online and on-demand .
In all my whirlwind of projects and performances , I now have the unique opportunity to dive deep into my joy of helping people find their voice through dance and develop their style . Now , I can meet more students where they are and explore further where they are in their dance journey .

Communication from students provides connections
I think the most rewarding and heartwarming feeling is when I receive unexpected feedback and testimonials from former students . Because of social media and email , I receive private messages that just warm my heart and help me understand what an impact I am making on individual lives . I can see the results of many of my former cast members progress to great careers on their own and that is the greatest gift of all .

A Healing Journey with Love and Support
The day I was diagnosed with Hodgkin ’ s Lymphoma 5 years ago . I had to step away from my career as a dancer / performer and focus 100 % on my health and personal life . I was definitely in shock at the time and decided it would be too difficult to speak about publicly — that ’ s why many of you are hearing this for the first time .
I had never felt so uncertain of my career and future . It dawned on me , I had a whole team of dancers depending on me , my Sahlala team . Their livelihood relied on continuing performances and many of my international
