Who doesn’t love to have long, full eyelashes?
There are many products on the market to help us keep our lashes looking glamorous!
But first, let’s talk about the nature of eyelashes.
Our natural lashes can only grow as long as their growth cycle.
Eyelashes go through three stages of hair growth. (Active, Regressive, and the Resting phase) The eyelash grows for
for approximately thirty days, and rests for the remainder of it’s life. An average life span of an eyelash is approximately three months. This explains why your best friend might have longer lashes than you. Her lash cycle might be longer than yours, therefore, shedding takes a little longer. If our eyelashes grew like the hair on our heads, we would probably look like Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street. (Haha!)
There are many different products to promote lash health.
Eyelash Shampoo will help keep your lashes healthy. A daily routine of shampooing can protect the eye area and prevent debris and bacteria from collecting around your eyes.
Eyelash Conditioners can have a variety of nutrients, proteins, and moisturizers to help strengthen your natural lashes.
Eyelash Growth Serums can help prevent eyelashes from breaking and falling out. This will cause your lashes to look much longer. Caster Oil has been known to be natural alternative to promote hair growth. (Keep in mind, the lashes will still have a cycle and these products can’t “multiply” your lashes.)
