The Beauty Battalion - Featuring Beauty In All Shapes & Sizes February 2016 | Page 2

The Beauty Battalion salutes and dedicates this issue to our friend, Roxanne Hasegawa. She was my friend for over 20 years and my co-worker at ABC4. She fought against the ugly monster of Breast Cancer until she was ready to go home. She went home tonight. I will forever miss her pink lipstick, purple nails and her multi colored hair. More than that, I will miss her love and friendship to not only myself but also the way she loved my children. Welcome Home, Rox. You will be missed...

Always smiling, with family/friends and taking photos/video. Looking up into the Rio Tinto stands will not be the same this year. Miss you Rox! #cancersucks — with Roxanne Hasegawa and Melissa Pearl.

My heart is hurting. I can't even put into words what an incredible person Roxanne Hasegawa was especially to me personally. When I think of growing up and a big part of who I am I think of her and my exit nine family. I feel as though I have lost a family member and a small piece of my heart. What an incredible, mentor, example and friend I had the privilege of knowing. She was a rock for so many and let so many people including myself shine while she stood aside behind the scenes just smiling and genuinely happy for everyone around her. I will miss you so much and am forever grateful of everything you have taught me! I gained a beautiful angel today who will continue to smile down on myself and everyone she knew saying "be yourself, be happy, and don't you dare worry about me". I love you Rox!
