to the city. The Park Project
being considered by the City
of Lawrenceburg will be a
key component in making the
area a destination. The de-
sign of the new park, located
at the corners of Short and
High Streets, will incorpo-
rate elements for year-round
use. Needs to facilitate music
concerts and community
events such as movie nights
and farmers markets are all
being considered during the
development process.
"We hope that people come
Downtown and enjoy the
park as well as all that Law-
renceburg has to offer," said
Bryan Messmore, city coordi-
nator. "I am already receiving
inquiries about potential re-
development for areas around
the proposed park."
The purpose of the park

will be to create a gathering
place along the riverfront
by improving amenities and
infrastructure that will pro-

Residents can choose when
and how they are alerted
before, during, and after
emergencies. Both home
and work addresses can be
linked to phone numbers,
which can be passed on
to emergency responders
in the field and result in
more rapid and accurate
response.
“Citizens will receive
notifications that will im-
prove safety in our county
and help inform residents
of potentially lifesaving
actions they may need to
take in an emergency,” said
Shane McHenry, Dearborn
County Commissioner
President. “The informa-
tion in Smart911 Safety
Profiles and the emergency
notifications allows both
residents and first respond-
ers to be better informed in
an emergency situation.”
With Smart911 and Rave
Alert, residents in Dear-
born County can be made
more aware and better
prepared in the event of an
emergency. All informa-
tion included in Smart911
Safety Profiles is op-
tional- the system allows
residents to choose the
details they would like to
include in their profiles.
Participating in the coun-
ty's Smart911 program can
lead to valuable time sav-
ings and ultimately lives
being saved.
