And for folks who have a
documented medical need for
an air conditioner, SIEOC of-
fers window units.
There are also emergency
funds available to prevent a
family’s utilities from being
turned off. Mrs. Cunningham
explains, “We can assist them
with that - give them some-
thing extra, a little allotment
of funds that get them either
up-to-date or gets them to a
point where they’re not going
to be cut off.” And new this
year, people who are up-to-
date on their bills will receive
a little extra financial help as
an incentive not to let their
bill lapse.

with other agencies, as Mrs.
