From the Executive Director
Just a little over a year ago we opened our doors to our newly expanded facility. This past year has flown by
and what a blessing it has been. As I was reflecting over the past year, I was reminded of our building
dedication and a song sang by Missy Mitchell entitled “Dream Big.” The chorus to that song has stuck with
me; it goes like this:
“If you are gonna dream, DREAM BIG.
It’s the Lord’s desire for you to DREAM BIG in everything you say and do.
You’ll see your greatest dream come true because all of Heaven is dreaming big for you.
Oh, I love the word impossible cause that’s what God does best,
so reach for the improbable and He will do the rest. If you’re gonna dream... DREAM BIG.”
Without a doubt, we have seen many of our BIG dreams come true over the years. So many answers to our
prayers, God’s faithful provision in so many ways and so many wonderful people, like you, coming along side
to help make these dreams happen. God truly has worked through each of you to help make a difference at
the Little Light House. It really does take “teamwork to make the dream work,” and you are part of our LLH
team. Thank you for the part you have played in assisting us to become all that we are today. Only God knew
what BIG DREAMS He had for this “Little” Light House. I have come to realize that nothing starts happening
until we start dreaming. Dreaming is an act of faith. Everything ever created or invented started as a dream.
Our Mini-Laps fund-raiser is coming up on Saturday, October 14. This is such a wonderful celebration of
milestones which our children have accomplished. As we watch each child work so hard to take their turn
around the track and “run the race set before them” we see the physical, social, emotional and developmental
changes that are taking place daily as our staff works to improve the lives of these precious little ones. Seeing
the kids making such strides is a result of our BIG DREAM.
As we celebrate our 45th Birthday this month, we are continuing to DREAM BIG! It is our dream in this coming
year to see the renovation of our former building completed so by this time next year we will be serving even
more children. I love the scripture Jeremiah 32:27, “I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything
too hard for me?” (NLT) Please join us as we step out in faith, believing God for yet another dream to be
accomplished, for He tells us nothing is
too difficult for Him.
