“To Glorify God by improving the quality
of life for children with special needs, their
families and communities.”
I tell everyone that I have the best job
description ever...I am charged with glorifying
God and helping beautiful children live their
lives more fully. In my mind, it just doesn’t
get any better than that!

In glorifying God and serving our children,
their families and communities, it is essential
to make sure our service comes from a heart
of love. If we love well, we know that our
students will receive not only a wonderful
education with therapeutic excellence, but
also growth in confidence, friendships and
joy.
To experience the reality of this love, all you
have to do is walk into a classroom and see how the teachers, therapists and volunteers interact with
the children. What you will see is kindness, respect, celebration, joy, perseverance and an overflow of
patience.
“Love is large and incredibly patient. Love is gentle and consistently kind to all. ... Love does not traffic
in shame and disrespect, nor selfishly seek its own honor. Love is not easily irritated or quick to take
offense. Love joyfully celebrates honesty and finds no delight in what is wrong. Love is a safe place of
shelter, for it never stops believing the best for others. Love never takes failure as defeat, for it never
gives up.” I Cor.13:4-7 The Passion Translation Bible
Here’s to love, and here’s to the Little Light House!
Thank you,
Little Light House Executive Director
