It is predominately agreed upon that the mind and body are connected. Whatever affects the mind will affect the body and whatever affects the body will affect the mind. But why do you relax the body first?

Simple. It’s easier. The body is tangible. You can relax tangible parts of the body like your head, your arm(s), your hand(s), etc. But if you’re told to relax your mind first, how do you begin? Where is it? Where to you start? Even science cannot pinpoint the “mind”. So by starting with the body where you can identify tangible parts to relax, the mind will follow.
