The graph below was taken straight from the research. As you can see, there is

virtually no difference in bat-to-ball contact between the “NO” (where the batter could see the entire pitch) and the “A-150” (where the batter’s view was blocked late in the delivery of the pitch). When the batters vision was obstructed

early in the pitch delivery “R+150”, it negatively affected bat-to-ball contact.
