The Secret To Change Is Choice

To the Player:

The secret to all change is choosing to move beyond whatever perspective is causing the problem. It's YOUR choice.

You want autonomy and be empowered. It’s only natural that you want to be independent, self-directing what happens in your life and be invested in the outcome of the decisions you make. You want to feel autonomous and empowered. The truth is, autonomy and empowerment means you have "free choice". So that means you have the right to choose to benefit or not from coaching, training or mentoring.

I want you to really think about what you've learned and what you have currently have done up to this point in your baseball career or life in general. Maybe something that's gotten you by in the past and worked then, but not so much now. It's now getting in your way. Keeping you stuck. But it's comfortable... it's easy. Yet you still say you want to change. You want to be better. The choice to change is up to you and no one else.
