PUBLISHING DIRECTOR Darren Robinson EDITOR Tony Robinson Welcome to the summer edition of The Barossa Mag CONTRIBUTORS: Adam Hunt Alicia-Lüdi Schutz Catherine Harper Claire Wood Heidi Helbig Kristee Semmler Lee Teusner Neil Bullock Peter Clarke Todd Kuchel A friend asked me the other day what summer really means to me... When I was young it was fun under the sprinklers at home on a hot day, my sister daring me to run bare foot across the couch grass, covered with bees and laying chest first on the hot cement by the side of the Nuriootpa Swimming Pool with friends. As I grew older, it became long nights out with friends, Christmas home with the whole family, attending friend's weddings and time off to relax. DESIGN Jessica Waldhuter Lucy Fechner Maddison Krause And nowadays it’s sunscreen for the kids, a perfectly mowed lawn on a Saturday and family time outdoors. It’s marvelling at the new offers popping up every day in the Barossa; Wine bars, Restaurants, gin bars, distilleries and bespoke cellar doors. PHOTOGRAPHY Alicia Lüdi-Schutz John Krüger Pete Thornton Sam Kroepsch Dave Graor Every one of these memories is my experience of the Barossa; just another part of a story, my story… And we all have one. As part of this Summer edition, we share Sam Neumann’s story.
