1918 BAROSSA BLEND CHALLENGE

Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro; three
grape varieties that have long
flourished in the Barossa Valley so
much so that G.S.M. has come to be
known as the ‘Barossa Blend’.
These three grape varieties blended
in the right way can produce a
beautifully balanced wine that suits
most palates and most occasions. But
who does the best Barossa Blend?
From January 11 to 13, 1918 Bistro
and Grill, Tanunda will be offering their
guests the opportunity to vote for their
favourite Barossa Blend.
An expert panel of wine judges have
done a blind tasting and come up with
a top 10 of the Barossa’s best G.S.M’s.
These 10 wines will be available
for tasting over the Barossa Seasons:
Summer festival weekend.
Enjoy a wine flight of all 10 wines and
indulge in a 1918 winemaker’s board
for only $20 per person.
Guests will vote for their three
favourite blends and go in the draw
to win all 10 wines. At the end of the
weekend a Barossa Blend Challenge
winner will be crowned.

Whistler Wines’ Summer Sessions are
back for another year on the second
Friday of each month to unwind
and relax into the weekend from 5 p.m.
to 9 p.m.
Their award winning, biodynamic
and organic wines will be available
by the glass or bottle for you to enjoy
while kicking back with your friends
and family on their lawns in the
Summer sunshine.
In December Whistler will be
hosting AJ’s Kitchen, serving some
tasty American style eats and Barossa
Street Food, doing their famed Mexican
spread!
The remaining Summer Sessions
will be on January 11, February 8 and
March 8.
