Purple lined streets from blooming jacarandas, the sweetest strawberries, and crisp, fresh mornings with perfect blue skies - bringing in the day ahead and making each one of them beautiful. And finally, longer days spe nt in the sun! Which means more time to enjoy our home, the Barossa and all it has to offer. Spending evenings with friends with a glass of wine in hand (or gin, I’m partial to both), an easy dinner, listening to live music as the sun goes down and the cool spring air makes me wrap my scarf in close around my neck. Spring in the Barossa brings everyone out from their living rooms, away from the fire, into the garden, to so many of the anticipated events and out with the family. It is livelier, feels freer and I’m certain we all love it, just that tiny bit more every year. In this edition we introduce you to the Kernich family and the birthplace of Jersey Fresh. Overcoming hardships and powering on in the dairy industry with hard work, courage, love and laughter. With unfinished business, we speak to Barossa’s home grown talent, Greg Bain. As cricketer, footballer and family man his journey has lead him back to his home clubs. We meet John Hughes of Rieslingfreak and Henschke’s Justine Henschke, just two of Riesling Eden Valley’s producers battling to put riesling back on the map and make it a consumer’s drink of choice. Spring 2018 | FREE A woman on a mission with some rapidly good stories to tell is Jane Ferrari. We hear of her adventure filled life jetsetting across the globe as ambassdor for Yalumba Wines and the Barossa Valley.
