Seniors Begin the Year Together

The past two years a
new tradition has
been adopted by the
seniors of Jasper High
School. This year,
dozens of seniors and
a few parents met on
the football field at
6:30 am. They spread
out blankets on the
wet turf, unfolded
lawn chairs, talked
about the coming

school year, and
watched the sun rise
on their senior year.
Unlike last year, this
year s seniors had to
wait two extra weeks.
You see, a little rain
storm by the name of
Hurricane Harvey
decided it didn t want
school to start just
yet. So on September
3, 2017 just as the sun

Ezra Lovett welcomed
everyone and Colleen
Hale delivered a
devotion on finding
encouragement
through the year and
the importance of
leaving the right kind
of legacy for those
that come after us.
