However, it s a lot of hard work. Early mornings and late nights have kept me busy but to see the finished product of all the staff s hard work has all been worth it. This staff is the best I ve had the privilege to be a part of in my three years, and I m honored that I got to serve as their editor this year. I d like to say that while its been a long, tough year this staff 144 has worked tirelessly to create and publish a book to reflect on the year and hopefully look forward to the years to come. Through difficult times and some fun times, this year has been one to remember. This book is one of the best we ve produced and it wasn t easy. It s been one of the most complex books with so many different elements but it s all come together to make a book that we are all most proud of. As many good times as I had this year being editor, I m excited to see what becomes of next year. Will full confidence in next year s Editor-in-Chief, I pass on the responsibilities and duties of the editor. And to the next editor, remember to have fun. Yes, you not only have to work hard but you also have to give your time and push your staffers to work harder as well. The staff looks up to you, and it s up to you to be the example they re looking for. Whatever happens, you can overcome the obstacles and deliver a book to the public that is, in and of itself, priceless. Thank you to everyone who made this year possible, to my assistant editor for being the support the Editor always needs, and to my advisor for showing me the ropes these past three years and trusting me this year to lead a staff of responsible and dedicated members. For the last time, with no more deadlines, it s been a honor. Sincerely, Mattie Hamilton Editor-in-Chief
