Julius 'You-Tube' Yego, Kenya's Javelin World Champion took time out of his current training programme to visit The Banda during its Jubilee. Demonstrating effortless javelin throws to children and parents, he also tailored a lesson to the next generation of school athletes, sharing his preferred grip and run up technique.
Inspired by all the Kenyan athletes he knew many ran faster than him, but they could not propel sticks, stones then boulders further than him! Disciplined, passionate and dedicated to sport Yego's hard work paid off when he threw his monster 92.75 metres and became world champion. The Banda looks forward to watching him in Rio!
