Martin Aveling (Class of 1995) has lived in Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo and the UK where he is currently resident in Cambridge. He remains a very successful Wildlife Artist. Some of his work is shared opposite. His gallery is at the following link: http://www.avelingartworks.com/gallery-c11aw.
During this past year Martin has become a global ambassador for Derwent designing the new artwork for their pastel pencil tins: https://www.derwentart.com/en/gb/4412/pastel-pencils. However what Martin is most proud of this year has been helping 7 year old Frankie with his rhinosUP campaign - www.rhinosup.com (On Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/rhinosup) supporting Ol Pejeta and their Northern White Rhinos.
Martin recently discovered his Banda School Christmas card, winner of the Christmas card competition in 1993. This adorns our front cover. Perhaps we will reprint it for Christmas 2018 with the proceeds going to the rhinosUP campaign.
