FOND MEMORIES OF OUR BELOVED "PM" - MARY PAGE-MORRIS 1934- 2017
A Nurse at The Banda for many a year
And memories of PM we hold very dear
The tears and the laughter, we celebrate her life
She even delivered a baby here - as a trained midwife
'Can I call home, I've forgotten my kit'
With every child she scored a hit
Hair checks for nits and soothing the aches
She dealt lovingly with sadness and bone breaks
A member of the The Banda family, PM was revered
Her calm nature meant treatment was not feared
Children would nip out of lessons to visit for a hug
And very soon overlooked pain or a bug
In times of need children flocked to her side
She delivered her duties with real kindness and pride
Banda children will remember her, both near and far
For her chats, her dawas and her sweets in a jar
So PM we hope you now rest and are calm
It's your turn for peace - safe in God's palm
We celebrate your life and all that you've done
And remember you dearly - you were second
to none
