In addition to regular physical exercise , a technique that I began practicing during the COVID-19 pandemic is meditation . When the pandemic hit , like many of you , my work and home lives were instantly merged . I found myself trying to generate income , manage a newly formed partnership and
24 September / October 2021 second office , all from home with a 2-yearold and a 7-year-old . I frequently found my mind going absolutely bonkers with thoughts that were overwhelming and causing me too much stress to enjoy my family or life in general . It was depressing . I felt that my mind was controlling my mood , but firmly believed that should not be the case . My mother frequently told me one of the few things in life you can control is your attitude , and after several decades I think I finally understand what she was saying .
