TAX LAW
The Tax Law Section is excited to host a number of CLE seminars and
networking events in the upcoming year.
On August 27, the Tax Law Section hosted its annual Joint Summer
Reception with the Georgia Society of CPAs at the Park Tavern in
Piedmont Park. The evening mixer hosted attorneys and accountants
for drinks and hor d’oeurves, allowing attendees to meet new
members and catch up with old friends.
The Tax Law Section is also proud to announce its participation in
the Adopt-A-Base Program in partnership with the Georgia Society
of CPAs and the Georgia Tax Bar. The Program will assist military
members in the preparation of their federal and state income tax
returns.
In December, the Tax Law Section will also be co-sponsoring the
annual Liaison Committee Meeting with the Georgia Department of
Revenue on December 11. The annual Liaison Committee Meeting
will provide practitioners updates from the Department of Revenue
followed by a Q&A session. The meeting will be moderated by
Frank O’Connell (General Counsel for the Department of Revenue),
Richard C. Litwin (The Litwin Law Firm PC), and Mace E. Gunter,
current chair of the State Bar of Georgia Tax Law Section.
Stay tuned for more events!
