The Workers’ Compensation Section has gotten off
to a great start this year. The Section held its kickoff breakfast meeting on September 16, 2016 at the
Capitol City Club. The Chairman of the Workers’
Compensation Board, The Honorable Frank McKay,
gave an excellent talk on the state of the State Board
of Workers’ Compensation and provided some legislative and policy updates.
Social Media
The Workers' Compensation Section has recently
launched its new Facebook Page.
Save the Date
The next luncheon meeting will be held on November 18, 2016 at the Capital City Club at noon. Section
members, Tom Holder and Michael Rosetti, will
speak on National Trends in Workers’ Compensation
and the Impact on Georgia.
The section’s Holiday Party will take place on December 1st at Basil’s Restaurant in Midtown, 2985
Grandview Ave NE, Atlanta.
The Section helped to sponsor the Legal Runaround
5K Race to provide scholarships to children of police
officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. Several
section members participated in the run. Section
member, Evan Beauchamp, associate at Carlock,
Copeland & Stair, LLP, won overall first place.
