RESTAURANT
RECOMMENDATIONS
Decatur is a destination for foodies across the Metro Atlanta region
and visitors to the Courthouse have
high quality and convenient choices for lunch. The Brick Store Pub
and Leon’s Full Service are right
off the Decatur Square and offer
dependable and innovative lunch
options. From outstanding burgers and locally grown vegetables to
mouth-watering brisket and pork
belly sandwiches, the diner will not
be disappointed.
For an even more discriminating
palate, award winning Cakes and
Ale, also right off the square, provides interesting and locally sourced
options for lunch. For those who are
feeling the need for a European
flair, Café Alsace is a solid choice
offering delicious French onion
soup and quiche daily.
A discussion of Decatur’s lunch
options would not be complete
without Souper Jenny’s located
across the square from the Courthouse. With a different menu daily
of homemade soups and interesting
and tasty salads, the meal leaves
you sated and a bit smug from
eating such healthy fare. Within a
three block walk of the Courthouse,
diners have available the newly
opened Highland Bakery, a staple
from the Old Fourth Ward, Chai
Pani, and award winning Indian
restaurant, and Taqueria de Sol,
some of the city’s best tacos and
guacamole.
Next time you have a calendar
call in DeKalb, do not fret. If you
stay for lunch, you will not be
disappointed in the many options
available.
