T
he Elder Law Section is looking forward to the
introduction of at least two projects this year.
The first is to host a "POA Day", where volunteers will provide
Power of Attorney and Advance Directive for Healthcare
forms for seniors to complete. Volunteer attorneys will be on
site to help with the documents and answer any questions
that arise. The Section Board has tentatively discussed

hosting the event in downtown Decatur near a subsidized
senior high rise. This will probably be in the early spring of
2013.
The second project will be to collect gifts for needy seniors
during the holidays, to donate to a local gift drive. ■
