multi-bar leadership council
o help celebrate the 10th
Anniversary of the Multi-Bar
Leadership Council (MBLC), over
50 lawyers and judges from the 14
Bar Associations of MBLC participated
in a retreat on Saturday, October 1,
2011, at King & Spalding’s offices. The
participants reviewed issues regarding
diversity and inclusion in the legal
community during the previous ten years
and discussed where MBLC leaders
should focus their efforts in the next
decade.
Immediately following the retreat, the fourth Multi-Bar Leadership Council
Seth D. Kirschenbaum Diversity Award was presented to Lori L. Garrett,
Vice President and Managing Director of the Southeast Regional Office
of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, for her commitment to
diversity in the Bar and her role in creating and maintaining several
programs which support diversity efforts within the Bar. ■
