IP celebrated its 18th annual Volunteer Appreciation
on April 23rd at Piedmont Park’s Magnolia Hall. The
luncheon, which honors the efforts of our countless
volunteers each spring, featured keynote speaker, former
Chief Presiding Judge of the Fulton County Juvenile Court
(and TIP co-founder), Judge Glenda Hatchett. In addition
to Judge Hatchett’s inspiring words, five volunteers were
presented with the Honorable Glenda Hatchett Volunteerof-the-Year award for their dedicated service to TIP clients.
Those honored were Lauren Armstrong, Erica Harrison
Arnold, Bridget Beier, Glen Fagan, and Robert Mack.
TIP also presented Alston & Bird LLP with the inaugural
Champion for Children Award, which recognized the law firm
for its advocacy on behalf of TIP’s vulnerable children through
a variety of volunteer efforts and financial support.
TIP would like to thank the sponsors of the event: Alston & Bird
LLP, Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP, Martenson,
Hasbrouck & Simon LLP, UPS®, Veritext Legal Solutions,
and GABWA.
