led panelists Ellen B . Malow ( Malow Mediation & Arbitration ), Judge J . Stephen Schuster ( Superior Court of Cobb County ), and Judge Gail S . Tusan ( Superior Court of Fulton County ), through a discussion aimed at providing useful tips to attendees holding mediation or arbitration via Zoom or other video conferencing platforms . The panelists urged the use of breakout rooms on the Zoom platform because it stimulates the confidential caucus rooms that allow parties to speak privately or alert the mediator to when they wish to return to a breakout room . COVID-19 has been with us for nearly two years now and these video conference platforms have allowed us to continue to serve clients that are in immediate need of a resolution . to avoid problems on appeal . The panelists offered some tips on how to avoid some pesky pitfalls when on appeal . For instance , be certain that the record is clear ; the record should not be incomplete . Thus , one should make sure that certain proceedings are reported and remember testimony must be clear to someone reading the transcript .
