T
he Atlanta Bar Association is proud to present its ninth
installment in the “A Courthouse Line” series. The Bard
Show is an all lawyer song and dance extravaganza that
must be seen to be believed! Lawyers write the script, cast the
talent, block the scenes, sing the songs, make the props, and pull
the curtains. And, lawyers raise the money. You see, in addition
to being a wonderful outlet for those of us who adore the sound
of applause; the Show is a fantastic fundraiser for the Atlanta
Bar Foundation.
The Foundation is the charitable arm of the Atlanta Bar Association
and the Bar Show is its single largest event fundraiser. Since its
inception in 1999, the Bar Show has raised over $200,000.
In the first “A Courthouse Line” production, thirty lawyers
performed a single performance to a packed house of 375 people at
the 14th Street Playhouse. It was an instant hit and the Atlanta Bar
Association’s very own stage phenomenon was off and running.
Since then, the “Bard” has produced seven more fantastic shows:
Puttin’ on the Writs, which followed a group of lawyers on
their journey from law school to retirement at the ‘Old Lawyers
Home’; Comity Tonight,
