law school musical “A Courthouse Line IX: Law School Musical” By Margaret (Maggie) Hughes Vath Vath Law, LLC T he Atlanta Bar Association is proud to present its ninth installment in the “A Courthouse Line” series. The Bard Show is an all lawyer song and dance extravaganza that must be seen to be believed! Lawyers write the script, cast the talent, block the scenes, sing the songs, make the props, and pull the curtains. And, lawyers raise the money. You see, in addition to being a wonderful outlet for those of us who adore the sound of applause; the Show is a fantastic fundraiser for the Atlanta Bar Foundation. The Foundation is the charitable arm of the Atlanta Bar Association and the Bar Show is its single largest event fundraiser. Since its inception in 1999, the Bar Show has raised over $200,000. In the first “A Courthouse Line” production, thirty lawyers performed a single performance to a packed house of 375 people at the 14th Street Playhouse. It was an instant hit and the Atlanta Bar Association’s very own stage phenomenon was off and running. Since then, the “Bard” has produced seven more fantastic shows: Puttin’ on the Writs, which followed a group of lawyers on their journey from law school to retirement at the ‘Old Lawyers Home’; Comity Tonight,
