Atticus Finch CLE

United States District Court Judge Richard W. Story, Emory University professor, historian Joseph Crespino and lawyer Joseph M. Beck, author of“ My Father and Atticus Finch”, led an interesting discussion on Atticus Finch: Who Was He? Who Is He? at the Emory University law school on March 2, 2017. The Atlanta Bar Association Continuing Legal Education program was well attended by lawyers and law students and presented various perspectives on the“ To Kill A Mockingbird” character and the impact Finch has had as a champion of racial justice and as an inspiration to aspiring lawyers. At the conclusion of the discussion, Judge Story performed the closing argument from the trial in“ To Kill a Mockingbird” as Atticus Finch, a role he formerly played at the Holly Theatre in Dahlonega Theatre in 2007.
