became quite successful, but as more years went by, I felt
something very important was missing. There had to be
more.
As my career had progressed, I was spending more and
more time representing low-income individuals and nonprofit organizations, and then finding similar opportunities
for my law firm colleagues. I had turned outside the firm
to collaborate with colleagues in other firms and with
public interest organizations to find new, collaborative and
creative ways to positively impact more people in need. I
also felt drawn to serving our profession and our community
through bar leadership, first with the Atlanta Bar Association
