Kelly L. Whitehart has joined Duane Morris’s Intellectual
Property Practice Group as a partner in its Atlanta office.
Her practice centers on patent, trademark, trade dress,
software, false advertising, copyright, trade secret and
unfair competition disputes. Her clients are large and
middle-market U.S. companies that represent a crosssection of technology industries, including software,
telecommunications, energy resources, e-commerce
and cloud computing applications. Whitehart is a board
member and programs committee chair of the IP Section
of the Atlanta Bar.

Seasoned labor and employment litigator Thomas A.
Cox, Jr., has joined the Atlanta office of Fisher & Phillips
LLP. Cox, a Morehouse College graduate who previously
worked for two AmLaw 200 firms as well as the Georgia
Attorney General and the U.S. Department of Justice,
joined Fisher & Phillips on January 5. Cox has defended
clients in all types of employment-related claims,
including those brought under ADA, FMLA, Title VII and
various state tort theories.

Stites & Harbison, PLLC announced today that 16
attorneys have been promoted within the law firm.
Fourteen have been elected to membership and two
have been elected to Counsel, effective January
